Sarah Spencer
Sarah offers insight and expertise on the intersection of AI, conflict and public policy.
She is a co-founder of SAFE AI and was previously an independent AI researcher and consultant. She has spent close to a decade working on AI and its connection with global and national security. Sarah currently serves as Deputy Head of the International Tech Department in the UK’s FCDO, is a Fellow as the Royal Society of Arts, and was included in 2025’s list 100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics. Sarah has a Master’s degree from Harvard University in Public Policy and a Master’s from Cambridge University in AI Ethics.
