CDAC welcomes six new board members for 2025!
We have recently welcomed six new board members to CDAC Network’s board! Each brings a wealth of experience that will help shape CDAC’s work and a huge diversity of knowledge, skills, and geographical locations that are critical to CDAC’s direction and membership.

Marcia Wong, Former Deputy Assistant Administrator for Humanitarian Assistance, USAID
Marcia brings 30+ years of diplomatic and humanitarian experience, recently serving as Deputy Assistant Administrator at USAID's Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance. Previously, she led humanitarian diplomacy at the International Committee of the Red Cross in the US and held various State Department positions. She also served on the executive staff of three US Secretary of States.
Nyalleng Moorosi, Senior Researcher at the Distributed AI Research (DAIR) Institute
Nyalleng is a Senior Researcher at the Distributed AI Research (DAIR) Institute. She's passionate about making sure AI works for everyone, not just a select few. As one of the minds behind Deep Learning Indaba and a member of A+ Alliance, she's been championing the fight against gender bias in AI and making sure African voices are heard in the tech world.
Ahmed Al-Khameri, Chemonics UK
Ahmed joins us from Chemonics UK, bringing a wealth of experience in international development, stabilisation, governance, and peacebuilding. With deep roots in the MENA region and fluency in both Arabic and English, Ahmed brings deep expertise in diplomacy, political thinking, conflict analysis, and adaptive management.
Foni Joyce Vuni, Refugee Rights Advocate & Youth and Women Leadership
Foni Joyce Vuni is a passionate advocate for refugee rights, youth leadership, and women’s empowerment. Originally from South Sudan, her lived experience as a refugee in Kenya has shaped her commitment from viewing refugees as beneficiaries to recognising them as active partners in humanitarian action and policy. She is the Programme Coordinator for the Global Refugee Youth Network (GRYN), a refugee-led network and was a Research Lead at the Refugee-Led Research Hub (RLRH) in Nairobi.
Tinago Chikoto, OCHA
With 19 years under his belt working in humanitarian responses across 20 countries, Tinago brings practical wisdom about what works (and what doesn't) in emergency communication. He currently heads OCHA's Needs and Response Analysis Section, overseeing the Humanitarian Programme Cycle and Global Humanitarian Overview - expertise that will be invaluable as we shape our strategic direction.
Sara Basha, IOM
Sara Basha brings over 20 years of experience in migration and migration management across the East and Horn of Africa, particularly in Ethiopia, Kenya, and South Sudan. Working closely with governments and humanitarian actors, her career focuses on capacity strengthening and development, guided by a commitment to accountability to affected populations

We’re excited to see how these new board members will push boundaries and think differently about communication, community engagement, participation, accountability and all the issues affecting our members. Alongside our current board members, they will provide strategic oversight of the CDAC Network mission and fiscal integrity, alignment with strategic priorities, and the Secretariat.
