Dr Gozibert Kamugisha

Dr Gozibert Kamugisha is a senior lecturer in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, specialising in medical sociology. His research focuses on healthcare systems, reproductive health and health-related social justice issues. Recent research includes studies on patient–health-provider relationships in the context of healthcare reforms in Tanzania, as well as social injustice patterns of pharmaceutical practice in the country. Dr Kamugisha is also the co-founder of Young Scientists Tanzania (YST), an organszation dedicated to training secondary school students in scientific research and innovation. Through YST, he organises annual science exhibitions to showcase young people’s solutions to local development challenges.
