This Report presents the key highlights of a Webinar hosted by CDAC Network and GSMA Disaster Response.

On November 20th 2012, the CDAC Network in partnership with the GSMA Disaster Response Programme, hosted a webinar titled “Back to the Basics: Mobile and Humanitarian 101”. The objective of this event was to bring together experts in the use of mobile communications in humanitarian situations to share their field experiences, and to reflect on the challenges and opportunities inherent in bridging these stakeholder groups together in their work to support disaster-affected communities.

Panellists included Imogen Wall, Coordinator of Community Communications at UN OCHA; Oisin Walton, Manager for the Vodafone Foundation Instant Network Roll-out Programme; and Nicholas Wasunna from World Vision Kenya.
